Leicester Award Image map

This is the graphic that AVS design created for the Leicester Award printed publications.
For consistency we wanted to use the same image on the website and get it to link to the different schemes. I achieved this by creating an image map. Initially I was going to use http://www.image-maps.com/ , but I have experienced some problems with this,  so I resorted to good old trusty DreamWeaver. Here is the final version on the Leicester Award Website.

Because this is an image and therefore the text can’t be read by a screen-reader it was highly important to use Alternative text for each of the map links. However after testing in two browsers; Internet Explorer and FireFox, it turns out you need to put it in twice alt=”***” for IE and title=”***” for FireFox.
